Dr Robert. (Bob) W. Lovitt

Dr Robert (Bob) W. Lovitt holds a PhD in bioprocess engineering and before starting up this company was an active academic for over 25 years with interests in microbial and algal technology, resource recovery and water technology. These interests have centred upon utilisation various types membrane technology and its integration and application in a number of biological or environmental processes and recovery systems i.e. microbial fermentations and brewing, waste water treatment including oily wastes and the recovery of metals from dilute complex wastes. He is particularly interested in process innovation, sustainability and the valorisation waste streams.

Bob has been involved with numerous UK research projects (EPSRC and BBSRC) and several European projects (Framework 5-7 and InNTEREG) working with academia and industry and generating over £5 million funding as PI. He has supervised over 35 PhD students. He has over 130 publications and over 5000 citations of his work (H index 36).
